What is the difference between a discrete graphics card and an integrated graphics card?
1. Different performance

The discrete graphics card has more space, so it can integrate more stream processors, and has a higher display frequency and bandwidth. Generally speaking, the performance of mainstream discrete graphics cards is several times that of integrated graphics cards, and the performance of high-end gaming graphics cards is tens or even dozens of times that of integrated graphics cards.

2. Different power consumption

Because integrated graphics are integrated on the motherboard, power consumption is lower. Compared with the power consumption of hundreds of watts or even hundreds of watts of discrete graphics cards, it is obviously more energy efficient.

3. Take up different space

Discrete graphics are usually relatively large. Even a small chassis graphics card is only a few times the size of a CPU. If a triple fan card is not required, the motherboard may not be suitable. Integrated graphics are completely free of this trouble. After all, it's built on the motherboard and takes up very little space.

4, the price is different

Discrete graphics are usually more expensive, and professional graphics and gaming graphics are even more expensive.

5.Different upgradeability

Since the discrete graphics card is removable, upgrading is very easy, just buy a new graphics card and replace it. If you want to upgrade the integrated graphics, you can only replace the motherboard. Often, this is obviously unrealistic, as few people change the motherboard often.
