Common faults of graphics cards and maintenance solutions

This is a title
Fault 1: Display Huaping, can't see the handwriting

Cause 1: This type of fault is mostly that the display or graphics card cannot support high resolution, and improper display resolution setting causes Huaping.

Solution: Switch the startup mode to the safe mode when the screen is displayed, and then reset the display mode of the monitor.

Cause 2: The display card conflicts with the Chinese system.

Solution: In this case, when the Chinese system is exited, a flower screen will appear, and any keystroke will not respond. It is similar to a crash. Treatment: Enter "MODE C080" at this time to be resolved.

Failure cause 3: The main control chip of the graphics card has a poor heat dissipation effect, and a screen phenomenon may also occur.

Solution: Adjust and improve the cooling performance of the graphics fan.

Cause 4: The video memory is damaged. When the video memory is damaged, the screen will display chaotic characters when the system starts.

Solution: Replace the video memory, or directly replace the video card.

Trouble two: No display when booting

Cause: This type of failure is usually caused by poor contact between the graphics card and the motherboard or a problem with the motherboard slot. For some integrated graphics motherboards, if the video memory shares the main memory, you need to pay attention to the location of the memory module. Generally, a memory module should be inserted in the first memory module slot. There is no display failure during booting due to the graphics card. Generally, one long beep and two short beeps are issued after booting.

Solution: Open the case and plug the graphics card back in. To check whether there is a small foreign object in the AGP / PCIE slot, otherwise the graphics card cannot be inserted into place. For motherboards that use voice alarms, you should carefully identify the content of the voice prompts, and then resolve the corresponding faults according to the content.

If the above method still gives an alarm, the chip of the graphics card may be broken. Replace or repair the graphics card. If you hear a beeping self-test after powering on, the display is normal but there is no image, plug the graphics card into another motherboard and use it normally, that is, the graphics card is not compatible with the motherboard, and the graphics card should be replaced.
